Last night during supper (which I almost had on the table when Ryan got home) Scott didn't want to eat his roasted broccoli. He kept telling us that he didn't like it, that it was yucky, that he would eat the stems but not the top. We were pretty firm with him that he would be eating all two of the small florets that were on his plate. He was also determined. At one point, he wrapped his napkin around his broccoli and promptly sat it on the table. Eagle-eye Dad saw what was happening and removed the broccoli, put it back on Scott's plate and took the napkin away. Bethany on the other hand was begging for more broccoli (a word she says pretty clearly at 19 months of age) and would take more bites of the rest of her meal in order to get another bite of broccoli!
Scott eventually choked down the broccoli.
After I promised that he wouldn't have ice-cream if he didn't eat it.

Do you remember the video that was shown at the Nopsey conference in Orlando? The one about preschool age children and the marshmellows? Those who were able to resist were 80% more likely to succeed in college and beyond?
I can't believe how Bethany loves broccoli! That is amazing, Tammy!
